Spirit of the River Bonus Features

SG Digital has certainly decided to keep things simple when it comes to the features in this game. Spirit of the River uses a unique Dual Ways mechanic which pays out for 3 or more matching symbols or wilds from left to right or top to bottom across the slot’sgrid. The main action when it comes to bonus features focuses on the Spirit Tower, 4 animal symbols stacked to the right of the grid. Filling this will trigger the slot’s free spins round that gives you 1 of 4 random Spirit Modifiers on each spin. These can provide matching symbols, expanding rows, multipliers or random wilds for an extra boost.

Wilds

A glowing mystical symbol represents the wild in Spirit of the River and can substitute for all other symbols except the scatter, but they only appear during free spins and not in the base game.

Scatters

Spirit Tower

A pile of rocks to the right of the game grid with 4 animal symbols carved into them is known as the Spirit Tower. When an orb scatter lands, it will illuminate the tower’s bottom symbol and give you a 20 spin counter. You have the remaining spins to land another 3 scatters to fill the tower and trigger the free spins round. If this hasn’t been achieved after 20 spins, 2 animal symbols will be extinguished with the counter resetting to 20 if any symbols remain illuminated. Otherwise, the counter disappears, and the feature is over until you land another scatter.

Filling the Spirit Tower within 20 spins awards you 8 free spins to play with. Any extra scatters landed during the countdown will get carried into the feature too, where lighting up all 4 Spirit Tower symbols gives you an extra 5 free spins to play with. Spirit Modifiers

Each Free Spin will randomly trigger one of the following 4 Spirit Modifiers: Turtle Spirit – random rows on the grid can expand up to 8 symbols wide. They will stay like this for the remainder of the feature, but no scatters appear in the extra spaces. Frog Spirit – golden masked mystery symbols are randomly added to the grid, which then become identical pay symbols. Dolphin Spirit – randomly adds a selection of wilds to the grid.
