Nord’s War bonus features

It seems like all Vikings enjoy a good fight and the reels in this game reflect that. We can see axes, swords, helmets, shields, coins and plates as symbols, as well as the A, K, Q and J royals. The helmet, which reminds us a little bit of the iconic Skyrim one, pays out the most generously.

In any battle, there are warriors and in Nord’s War, there are a couple of these around as well. We talk about those in more detail below. The player also gets to choose between the Viking and the Knight, with that choice determining how some symbols and features behave.

The selected character is displayed on the left, with the opponent on the right. If the Viking is selected and he appears as a symbol on the reels, he strikes a blow against the opponent, reducing his life by one unit. If the opponent appears as a symbol, he will strike the selected character and reduce his life by one unit. These character symbols can only appear on reel 3.

Wilds

The kind of Wild symbol depends on the character selected. With the Viking selected, the Wild is a silver shield with a wolf symbol on it. It will expand to cover the whole reel if two appear on the same spin.

With the Knight selected, the Wild is a red shield with a lion on it. When it appears, it scatters randomly. Both types of Wilds can substitute for any other symbol except the Scatter.

Nord’s War Free Spins

The player’s choice of character will also affect what happens during the free spins. Let’s say the Viking is the chosen character. When his symbol has appeared 5 times on the reels, thus completely depleting the Knight’s life bar, the free spins feature is launched with 10 bonus spins. If the opponent’s symbol appears five times, the player’s character is automatically switched and starts again with a full life bar.

With the free spins feature activated, a scale will appear at the top of the game screen. Each time a win is achieved, one space in the scale is filled. Filling 3, 6 or 9 spaces awards 3, 5 or 10 extra free spins, respectively.

During this feature, all Wild symbols become Nudging Wild, which will shift down one space on every consecutive spin, boosting the win potential.

Re-Spins

The player is given the option to re-spin single reels. The cost of each re-spin is displayed beneath each reel. Re-spins are only available during the main game.
