Less impressive are the included functions. There is no autoplay and no turbo mode to toggle. It may not be an absolute dealbreaker for some, but I found the lack of these simple, quality-of-life features rather annoying. When playing games like Mystery Reels Megaways, I look for these mechanics that help make longer sessions all the more bearable.

The Megaways mechanic itself has been executed perfectly with cascading reels adding to the game’s flavour. But then again, I would have liked to see more interesting features being linked to the new system.

Although Mystery Reels Megaways is a good first attempt with great visuals and win potential, its features are the basic we expect from Megaways games. So, while there is still some potential in the game, it doesn’t manage to stand out.
