Gold Collector: Diamond Edition Bonus Features
Compared to the original title, there’s more action going on in the Diamond Edition of Gold Collector, at least during the free spins bonus round where two explosive symbols can reveal cash prizes. The HyperHold feature has been switched to Link & Win but while the name changed, the mechanism containing individual reel counters remains quite similar. That said, there is one pretty big shift in the jackpots system. Because of the added diamond, , you can now win more than 5,000x your stake as opposed to the previous top win of 1,200x.
Wilds
Western-looking wilds can help you build a win by replacing other regular symbols if they appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 as part of a potentially winning combination. Another thing to remember is that wilds can’t substitute for scatters, coin and diamond symbols.
Scatters
Explosive scatters trigger free spins but are extremely hard to come by. Consider yourself lucky if you land 3 of them on reels 2, 3 and 4 in a single spin.
Link & Win
Triggered with 3 or more gold coins or diamond symbols, the Link & Win feature begins with 3 spins on each reel and the triggering symbols locked in their positions. Like in the original edition, each reel has an individual spin counter which resets to 3 if at least one coin symbol sticks to the respective reel. But here, you also have a diamond symbol which, if it lands anywhere on the screen, resets counters on all 5 reels to 3. Furthermore, each reel can award a jackpot, but more on that below.

When 3 scatters hit the 3 middle reels on the the same spin, you’ll be awarded 10 free spins. Here, you’ll be exploding rocks to reveal symbols so look out for dynamite and plunger icons. When a dynamite lands on a rock, it will explode to unveil a diamond or a cash prize. If the dynamite symbol lands on a rocklesss position, it may explode to reveal a plunger symbol, which may, consequently, explode 2-5 more rocks revealing diamonds and cash symbols.
