Gemix bonus features

This large 7×7 game screen is simply brimming with bright colours! There are 8 gemstone symbols in different rainbow colours and shapes. The most lucrative is the star, which pays out the most when it contributes to a win.

Wins are calculated in clusters. There are no payline but rather groups of 5 or more identical symbols will be considered a win. The bigger the cluster, the bigger the payout.

Because Gemix works on a cascading system, there are no reels to speak of but rather the symbols fall from the top of the screen to stack into rows and columns. Gems forming a winning cluster will disappear and make room for more symbols to take their place from above.

Wilds

There are three types of Wild symbols in Gemix, each one corresponding to the different ‘worlds’ the game takes place in. These are the pirate, miner and princess world. The respective Wild symbol can appear on any non-winning round.

Crystal Charge feature

If a player lands a win comprised of 20 or more gems, the Crystal Charge feature is activated and adds 4 extra actions as follows:

• Nova Blast: One symbol explodes, destroying and transforming symbols adjacent to it
• Light Beam: One symbol fires out light beams. Other symbols hit by the beams will be transformed
• Crystal Wrap: All instances of one randomly selected symbol will change to other symbols
• Chain Lightning: Two symbols in opposite corners will connect with chain lightning and each symbol in that path will change into one of the two corner symbols.

If a winning combination includes 40 or more gems, this feature becomes Super Charged and any wins occurring as a result of the four extra perks will be subject to an x3 multiplier.

Free Spins

There are no free spins bonuses available on Gemix but thanks to the game’s cascading reels, we didn’t find we missed this feature much at all.

World Pattern feature

Gemix can be played in one of three worlds and players can level up through them by landing particular patterns of gems. These patterns are displayed to the right of the game screen.

During a non-winning spin, Wilds can appear at random. The way these Wilds appear and behave depends on which world is active at the time.

In Miner’s World, up to 10 lamp symbols (Wilds) can appear. In the Wizard’s World, up to 8 spellbook sticky Wild symbols can reveal themselves. Finally, in the Princess World, the lollipop Wild can spread to either edge of the online casino game screen.
