You have 720 paylines, which can pay both ways. So, wins are made by having at least three identical, adjacent symbols starting from either side of the grid.

Low-paying symbols are shown as royal card suite tokens like clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds, which can pay anywhere between 0.8x to 1.2x your bet. But the real prizes emerge from the higher-paying tokens that include Christmas-themed decorations like a stocking, gingerbread man, bells and a wrapped present. Five matching high-paying symbols can win you up to 8x your stake.

The joker lady, clad in more festive attire and going by the name of Santa Jolene once again serves as the wild symbol. Jackpot Wheel

Above every reel, you’ll find a different jackpot prize, with the outermost reels having lower pots that get bigger the closer you get to the middle reel. Whenever a jackpot trigger symbol lands it increases the value of its respective reel jackpot by 0.5x. Scatter Symbol

You’ll need a total of five scatter symbols to unlock the free spins bonus. These must land on adjacent reels, spelling out the word jolly. Is The Slot Mobile Compatible?

I’ll admit that I mostly enjoy playing video slots on mobile, so I was eager to fire up the game on my Android phone. I played it through a Chrome browser and had a great experience, with eye-popping visuals and an intuitive interface that made touchscreen control immensely easy. The mobile version of the game comes with all the same bells and whistles as the desktop version, so there are no compromises here at all.

The game is also compatible with iOS devices and can be played across smartphones and tablets.

Conclusion

While the promise of 720 paylines, five jackpots and free spins with win multipliers sounds enticing, in practice these didn’t quite work all that well. It could very well be the math model’s fault here since this is an extremely volatile slot, but meaningful events on screen are immensely rare.

Now I’m all for high volatility slots that make you wait until the big prize drops, but with a maximum win of 5,000x (reserved for the top jackpot prize), there isn’t much to look forward to here. It makes for a rather dull experience, where the rewards seriously aren’t worth the wait.

But what I can commend are the slot’s visuals. The graphics on the original game were already quite impressive, with a clean look that added some much-needed class to the tattier visuals we tend to get on Joker-themed video slots. The circus theme is replaced with all sorts of Christmas decorations, creating a festive feel of sorts with every spin.

So, while visually, the game manages to strike true, Fire and Roses Jolly Joker is ultimately a low-effort reskin of a mediocre release that makes no effort to improve on its predecessor’s wrongs.
