Dragon’s Breath is a handsome slot with some excellent features. Too bad the max potential doesn’t live up to the dragon’s majestic stature that’s so expertly detailed here.

Dragon’s Breath Review

Rabcat and Games Global put some good effort into crafting the Dragon’s Breath slot. The visuals are fantastic and the sounds are almost GoT quality. Well hidden in a deep cave of a mystical mountain lives a ferocious dragon, or at least that’s what the theme is trying to depict. Moving on to the specifics, this 5×5 grid slot is built using the popular Cluster Pays mechanics where a set of 6 matching symbols award a payout. Unfortunately, the wins here don’t cause reactions like some other popular cluster slots do. However, this is quickly aided with a bunch of interesting bonus features, which we’re about to explain in our full slot review below.

Dragon’s Breath Bonus Features

A total of 3 bonus features make up Dragon’s Breath. The first two involve a bonus spin with cloned reels of the highest value when a cluster of 5 symbols of a kind hit multiple reels at the same time. The third, and the most rewarding feature, is the retriggerable free spins bonus round with the dragon frequenting the reels and filling them with sticky wilds every two spins. Let’s explore all slot features in detail.

Wilds

Golden tiles revealing a fire-spitting dragon are some of the most important symbols to look out for when building winning paylines. They are the game’s wilds and can substitute for all other symbols except scatters if they’re involved in a likely winning combination. There are also fiery fixed wilds, but these appear later in the game when the bonus round is triggered.

Scatters

Dragon’s Breath comes with one scatter symbol, which pays in any position. Depicted as a dragon’s watchful eye, 3, 4 or 5 scatters can activate the free spins bonus game.

Double and Triple Flames

Matching a cluster of 5 symbols of a kind on two reels in the base game unlocks the Double Flame feature. Here, the most valuable of the two reels is replicated onto the next adjacent reel for a bonus spin. The same applies to the Triple Flames feature, except now you’ll be matching a cluster of 5 symbols of a kind on 3 reels instead of 2. When this happens, one of the 3 most valuable reels will be copied onto the adjacent reel for one bonus spin.

Dragon Free Spins

Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters in one go unlocks 8, 12 or 16 Dragonfree spins respectively. The dragon will then fly over the reels, leaving 5-11 burning wilds behind as he leaves. On every second spin the dragon will return only to leave new burning wilds in different positions across the reels as he departs again. All wilds are fixed and stay sticky until the next batch of fixed wilds is added to the reels. They also substitute for all other symbols just like the regular wilds. It takes another 3, 4 or 5 scatters hitting the reels during this bonus round to activate an extra batch of 8, 12, or 16 dragon spins respectively.

Dragon’s Breath Jackpot

It’s hard to tell whether a jackpot feature could have elevated the image of the game among seasoned players. The current max payout extends to 1,250x your bet, which is realistic but trails behind the other higher-paying dragon titles.

RTP and Volatility

The attainable max exposure in Dragon’s Breath is matched perfectly here with medium volatility, making the game quite playable. The RTP, fixed at 96.06% is nothing special but nicely in line with the industry average.

Where to Play Dragon’s Breath

Most of the top-rated Rabcat online casinos will have the dragon hiding somewhere in their games library. 32Red is one of them, but if you want to test out other sites, our toplist features many more online hangouts with the games from the developer.

Dragon’s Breath on Mobile

Take the dragon with you wherever you go. Optimised for all Android and iOS devices, he’ll fill your reels with just as many burning fixed wilds on your mobile as he would on a desktop.
