Art of the Heist Free Spins

Art of the Heist’s take on free spins is an inventive one as it seems modelled after a board game. Vincenzo the cat burglar must cross the top row of squares from left to right, back through the middle row from right to left, and once again from left to right on the bottom row. This allows him to reach the exit of the museum, taking him to the free spins mode.

Here, you’ll have a basic minimum 10 free spins plus any other free spins collected throughout the main game.

Crossing the rows occurs when special symbols appear in the square where Vincenzo is standing. Each special symbol triggers a different reaction from our anti-hero, a number of free spins, or the Bonus Game. Here’s the command and value for each special symbol:

  • Alarm Keypad – Vincenzo moves 1-3 steps forward
  • Treasure Chest Wild – Adds 1-2 free spins
  • Mona Lisa – Secret Treasure Room bonus game is activated
  • Mummy – Vincenzo retreats 2 steps
  • Policeman – Vincenzo remains stuck on that space for 3 spins

One totally different type of free spins is ‘free play’. This means test playing the game without wagering real money. This is always a good idea to familiarise yourself with the game’s method and mechanics before actually committing real money.

Art of the Heist Fortune Slot

Art of the Heist is one of Playson’s finest-looking games featuring 3 reels, 5 rows, and 21 pay lines. You take up the role of Vincenzo the dextrous cat burglar as he’s about to make the heist of a lifetime – stealing the Mona Lisa from the Louvre museum. The animated intro that spells out how the gameplay will actually connect to the storyline, the stylised cartoonish visuals, and the mystique-evocative music all contribute to making this game a top pick.

But it’s not all aesthetics as the board game-like element that wins you free spins is an original and creative touch. The same can be said for the bonus ‘Secret Treasure’ game, where you’ll have to use keys to unlock the right rooms in order to turn the alarm system off and find the masterpiece painting.

Symbols and Features

Art of the Heist allows you to change bet levels anywhere between 0.21 and 63.0. However, you need to have it set at a minimum of 1.05 for free spins to be unlocked.

As explained in the free spins section, Free Spins Mode is unlocked by guiding the cat burglar in a zig zag fashion across the screen from left to right across the top row, back from right to left across the middle row, and once more from left to right across the bottom row. This allows him to reach the exit, and the Free Spins mode is triggered. Special symbols are what make the burglar advance, retreat, or stay, while others add more free spins to your initial and fixed 10 (explained above).

When the free spins game is unlocked, all free spins accumulated during the main game will be used. In this mode, besides the regular symbols featuring in the main game, you have stacked wilds represented by some world-famous paintings, and some great prizes can be won.

The Special treasure bonus game is probably the highlight of the entire game. It’s designed as a fully animated Pick’Em-styled game. Here, you’ll guide Vincenzo from one room in the museum to the next. You’ll have rooms to pick by using one of 7 keys (another 2 keys are hidden in the rooms). First, you will need to find the room where the discharge switch is hidden, and then find the room with the painting to win the Super Bonus. Things can get tricky though as there is 1 guard in each of 4 rooms. If you land on one of these rooms, the guard will take a key away from you.

Art of the Heist Jackpot

Art of the Heist doesn’t feature jackpots of any sort. However, the free spins game and the bonus pick’em game can garner you some notably big wins anyway while making things fun thanks to the inventiveness that has gone into designing their gameplay.

Art of the Heist on Mobile

Art of the Heist is available to play on-the-go on any of your handheld devices operating on iOS, Android, or Windows. Make sure you have a reliable internet connection and browser to avoid frustration.

Art of the Heist RTP

Art of the Heist has a 96.7% return to player, which is not excessively high. However, the slew of special features in-game can you some fairly huge wins if you up your betting levels.
